Using Google Ads to Generate Revenue via AdSense

Browse through various websites on the internet and you will find that many of them have Google ads as indicated by a block of ad of various sizes that are labeled "Ads by Google". Why? Remember to read their program policies.
Google AdSense for Content
After applying and getting approved into the program, you go through a wizard interface that will generate your "ad code" which you copy and paste on your website. This code will enable Google to place relevant ads on you page based on your page content. If visitors to your page clicks on the ads, they you get paid for each click by Google (excluding those clicks which Google has determined as being invalid). The amount you get paid is dependent on the nature of the ad and the competitiveness of the ads. In particular, it depends on how much the advertisers had paid in their bid to get their ads placed there.
You may be tempted to click on these ads yourself. But constrain your temptation, because it is against Google policy for you to click on them yourself (and you might even get banned from the program by Google). Yes, Google can detect how frequent and from what IP address of which the clicks originate.
Google AdSense for Search
The above form of AdSense is known as "Google Adsense for content". There is another form known as "Google Adsense for search". Instead of putting ads on your web page directly, this is when you put a Google search box on your web page. If your visitor performs a search using that box, then the visitor is presented with a search results. You get revenue when visitor clicks on the ads on the search result page.
